Jolee/Shadow All market makers must make a two sided market, make a bid and offer. Therefore, any market maker can be the best bid and the best offer at anytime. Now I must say that you do not see this very often, and it usually means he has something large to do Buy or sell. I would have to study the trading in HDIE for a while to determine what he was doing. Also, MOKE is a big Market Maker, and usually has alot of traffic in the stocks that he makes. Hope this answers you question.
