Right. Therefore this whole valuation model (decline end of 2000) is just B*S. This just reeks of wishful thinking (sort of: 'it is impossible that we will have a collapse of society, therefore most of the mission critical systems will be fixed 2000 latest; therefore Y2k remediation business will decline end of 2000').

Also keep in mind that currently there is still a huge amount of replacement projects (ERP package installation) being carried out. This is HIGH RISK approach for Y2k remediation. I still expect many of such projects to be cancelled the coming year; and co's concentrating on remediation the most important mission critical systems first; by remediation existing legacy code.

This bodes well for many Y2k companies, even for so called 'pure Y2k co's'.
