I think this will definitely happen in the long run and that's its bad news for US financial assets, even if as you suggest it will happen at the margins.

Another thing I'm concerned about from the POV of an investor in US assets, as if the list isn't long enough already,is that when economies around the world begin to turn, money will flow away from safe havens and commodity prices will rise, causing bond prices to rise and the dollar to weaken, although this is probably what the rest of the world needs.It seems to me that no matter how one looks at it we've had the wind at our backs for quite a while and the likely resolution of this global financial turmoil will leave us facing into the wind.

Of course this is all generalized macro musings and may have nothing to do with prospects of Q..

amazing how people wait till the end of the day to make their moves...
