Not all of life's issues have a political solution.

Sorry doughboy, Im pretty factual about these things, I dont want this to be construed as terribly negative, but in enterprise software everything comes down to license revenue. Services and support is simply mathematically proportional to prior license revenue numbers. Analysts dont care about anything but license revenue and these numbers are around 10% (Im still looking at it). Now, the entire sector is so bearish, and even some consulting firms are posting bad numbers these days (catp etc) so it could be that any positive surprise is a good positive surprise and orcl will rally. But in the past, license increases like these would have caused maybe a small rally initially which soon subsided, or the stock would remain flat.

The caviat is the intel preannounce which might buoy the entire tech sector tomorrow, but dont kid yourself that these orcl numbers did that... jmo
