OK, here we go. Let's get this clear: The former SIMers, as a group, are suing Softbank Holding Company-Japan (SHCJ) and its subsidiary Ziff-Davis (ZD) for $200 million dollars. The former SIMers, as a group, are not suing Zulu-tek for anything. The first link describes this lawsuit. But notice, for some strange reason (see if you can guess it?), in the April 22nd report, the emphasis of the negative slant is mysteriously directed more toward Zulu-tek than toward SHCJ or ZD, who are the ones actually being sued.wired.com So, with this clear, we now arrive at today's Wired news relative to the difficulties of SHCJ. Remember whenever we read past Wired reports about Zulu-tek there was always a "related link" section at the end of the reporting? This is the custom of Wired, for research purposes, to print the "related links." Well, take a look at the "related links," listed below, in Wired's present news relative to SHCJ. Remember, this article is about SHCJ's problems. So where, I ask, is the "related link" to the former SIMers' lawsuit against SHCJ? Is a $200 million dollar lawsuit so insignificant that it is not considered, by Wired, as a problem for SHCJ? The discrepancy is that Wired treats the SIMer lawsuit as if it were against Zulu and not against SHCJ. This is patently unfair. It is an example of very, very poor, shoddy and prejudicial journalism.wired.com Today's SHCJ-Related Wired Links: Softbank Wallows, Regroups 7.May.98 Softbank Bails Out First Virtual 1.May.98 ---------------------------------------------------------------- [THE MISSING RELATED LINK]: Ad Firm Founders Sue Softbank, ZD :06am 22.Apr.98.PDT ---------------------------------------------------------------- Softbank Interactive Loses Two Key Players 16.Mar.98 Softbank Merger Ties Media to Marketing 10.Nov.97 Softbank Shuffle Subtext 22.Sep.97
