License revenue has always been an issue. Sybase mentioned about a year ago how they had addressed licensing conservatively and that Oracle had Two YR. contracts to provide upgrades. I think this Quarter puts to bed those negative assessments. Business is moving to Oracle.

The current numbers are very good for the 1st quarter.

Why do you say that? Is this qtr slow historically? I dont like the apps numbers thats the problem I have, but, it could be that expectations were so low that anything positive would be an upside surprise. I dont know the Orcl whisper numbers anymore.

Im away from my desk and dont have any prior quarterly rpts here.
