I hope you're right, but I think anyone who might be proposed will be vetted to an extent Mother Theresa couldn't survive. If, of course there are many halfway decent members of Congress<G>.
But God help the bulls if the market has to go through a repeat of the Ford & Carter eras. And God help the country that establishes the ugly precedent of a revolving door presidency. If we want to change our government at irregular intervals maybe we ought to consider some kind of parliamentary system and have new elections whenever the public mood gets ugly.
