<< ... and he adjusts his goals to make sure that he continues to appear to be effective. >>

Clinton adjusts his goals towards whatever has the biggest political impact, and usually what is the most popular with the people. His administration is driven by opinion polls. This is not necessarily bad.

<< I doubt Clinton has acted with any thought toward the best interests of the country (the same should also be said of the entire Congress). >>

Politics as normal. It's a shame. How great it would be if all members of government were qualified for their jobs, and made decisions based on what is best for the people of our nation, instead of playing political games day in and day out.

You have hit a conservative side of me. I believe that people should not be able to run for office, or vote, unless they can, at least, pass a basic test of intelligence and skills. Perhaps a high school equivalency exam.

In order for our country to be at it's best, with a government that has the skills to implement good quality programs, they have to have at least a little gray matter between their ears. Unfortunately, this is not a qualification at present.

I think that Clinton has been one of the most effective and efficient Presidents that this country has seen. He is not perfect. But, I am afraid of what is waiting in the wings to take over our country. I think that the extremist right wing of the Republican Party has a disproportionate influence over the Party, due especially to enormous amounts of tax free money.

I don't want to see people near the White House that are calling for God to attack cities within the U.S. Hmmmm!? Sounds like Iran, right?
