re selling calls, buying more, selling, etc for short term gains
Sounds good.
Soon as I understand it better I want to do that too.

re buying opportunity Friday near close
Do you think the Dow will still test and close at its lows before a rally? Are Sept and Oct always rotten, or does it just seem that way? (Aug is supposed to be good and wasnt so maybe this year will be different, just when I think I'm getting the hang of it it trips me up. Thank God for DELL. And for finding it.)
Can you imagine what DELL less portfolios look like about now?

Hey there, I've got some Sep 110 calls and 130 calls -- do you think I should roll the 130s up? The problem is I bought them when the stock was at 118, so they're losing a little money right now. (Oops, that is 55 and 65 calls -- and I have to tell you, Discover Brokerage had my account in tatters during the split, they bought me Cytic calls, had me selling things, got a margin call yesterday, it was gone today -- can anyone recommend a good broker that doesn't freak out over a split?)

I plan to sell the 55s tomorrow, after watching the morning trading (if all goes as you say), and then buy more of the stock.

But I'm also thinking (hoping? ;-) that Intel and Oracle may help give Dell legs.

Good trading,
KenB
