Let me 'splain this: great for techs due to no end of the world. But nothing can save the business outlook for the equips. expect a big day, and it will give considerable pause to the "end of the world" crowd. futures up 21.5. this will also help protect the longs from Mr. Bills misdeeds.

re:Some short will love that move I'm thinking maybe tomorrow would be a good time for me to take my losses, and exit my too-early position in AMAT. If we bump up against 26 and stall, again, I'll probably sell. It also might be a good time to lighten up a bit on INTC, although I'd really like to hold onto it until at least January 1999. Then again, the airing of all the dirty laundry (what exactly was that stain on Monica's dress?), may overwhelm the INTC news. At these levels, I don't think I have the courage to short the semi-equips any more.
