Venture Capital and Technology Executives Join Elite Roster of Speakers For Upside's Technology and Policy Conference in Washington, D.C.

SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- John Doerr, partner with Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, among the most influential venture capitalists in the technology industry, will join Roberta Katz, chief counsel for Netscape Communications (Nasdaq: NSCP) as featured speakers at Upside Summit '98. The executive conference surrounding the convergence of technology, policy and capital will be held September 15-17 at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Joining Doerr and Katz will be David C. Nagel, president of AT&T Labs and CTO of AT&T (NYSE: T) who plans to address the impact of the AT&T and TCI deal on the telecommunications industry in his speech "Broadband to the Home."

One week from today, this year's Upside Summit will kick off as one of the must-attend conferences of 1998, featuring an impressive roster of technology, financial and business leaders in addition to featured government decision- makers. As Netscape's top lawyer, Katz will speak on antitrust and other issues facing Netscape as one of the most successful IPOs, and a company that has emerged as a technology leader in a highly competitive market.
