Stocks and News In case you've missed it while the news was covering political groupies and all the feigned disgust that a politician might be less than the moral pillar of society other politicos think they are: Iran has massed almost 100,000 troops along the Afghan border, and the Afghanistans have responded by deploying about 21,000 troops. Which pretty much makes it an even match given the tenacity of the Taleban's and the incomptency of the Iranian military. At any rate, the Iranians could make a successful raid against a couple of border strongholds (this is an ongoing thing between them). I doubt if it will affect the markets, but if India starts poking at Pakistan while all this is going on, it could exacerbate the whole region on over to the far east. In other news, the White house seem hesitant to request any new interns, as Bill can't seem to remember where he laid the last one.
