Thanks Spots--didn't realize this was only available on NT Server.

Hi, Spots

Please allow me to post a message on the thread for anyone who might be able to help me with a Windows 98 problem I am having.

I just upgraded from Windows 95 to 98 so I could use multiple monitors on one pc. This particular pc (a Dell) originally had an STB Velocity 128 4MB-AGP bus video card. I only have one slot available for the extra video card I need and it's a PCI slot, so I got the only PCI 4MB card I could find at local CompUSA, a Diamond Viper V330 PCI.

I installed latest drivers I could find on the web for both cards, but when I boot up, only the new PCI card and monitor are recognized and run. The original monitor and the AGP video card doesn't turn on and are not recognized in Control Panel - Device Manager. I've called Dell for advice and STB Systems and Diamond also, they all sorta blew me off. Interesting that at both Dell and Diamond, though, I talked to numerous people (both tech and sales) and was given completely different answers as to whether the two video boards I have can do what I want, work together with Windows 98.

My real question now is, can both an AGP and a PCI video card work simultaneously on a Windows 98 platform? Comments and/or suggestions greatly appreciated.

BTW, Len suggested I try this thread and it looks like a great resource. Thanks in advance.

Bill
