Thanks to all three of you who responded. I live in NW Washington state so MSFT is the first stock that my friends and associates think of in response to the question I posed. Also, intc comes to mind. However, a huge, new intc plant outside of Tacoma has fallen on hard times with "downsizing" and all that's associated with it. Big Bill G. is spoken of with awe but M. Dell seems to have a different kind of respect shown toward him and his company. I was also considering a companies such as LU or even PFE. Thanks again.
