Victor; RE:" LatAm "

>The info you posted on the latin american index the other day caught my interest. Is there a site where I can find more info about it ?

The only basket LatAm index option I have come across is LTX.X on the cboe.com site that I referenced in the prior posting, Victor. It doesn't look very promising, but it is somewhat informative to study its structure, and its ADR components.

Since the original call, "short LatAm when DOW hits 8100" a few days ago, a geo-market strategy intended to coincide with Donald's DJIA-30 wave-reading, the LatAm benchmarks have done the following.

EWW - Mexico 8.25 on 08-SEP; 7.0 on 10-SEP = -15.2 %

BZF - Brazil 11.25 on 08-SEP; 9.438 on 10-SEP = -15.2 %

AF - Argentina 7.8125 on 08-SEP; 6.75 on 10-SEP = -13.6%

CH - Chile 9.375 on 08-SEP; 7.313 on 10-SEP = -22 % (ex-div)

> Are you playing with it now..?

No. I dumped a lot of European ADR's that I had accumulated last week on the big rally Tuesday, and was sated by that -- thinking that the futures might open up the next day and give me an opportunity to flip and short these LatAm benchmarks and other LatAm ADR's. I'm a position trader by nature, Victor and when the bounce didn't happen on Wednesday open, I did not have the courage to take a position based on the momentum.

But I was wrong, Victor - it was just my personal weakness towards momentum trading. In reality, there ain't no position: it's just a relentless decay, similar to what the OSX.X was doing. I should have simply jumped on the ShortLine RailRoad, shorted these benchmark shares and the telecom, bank ADR's I found, and used a trailing STOP.

Sometimes the easiest thing to do, is the most difficult.
