Steven; I was brainwashed as a child and had to start very simply to find God, whom I now profess as Jesus Christ. It was suggested to me believe in the God of my understanding and develop my spiritual possibilities through prayer and meditation. Best advice I ever had. Santiago

The moment I hear "the only way" or "the only truth" I bristle a bit. Steve, Well, I don't recall using those words however let me explain the Islamic position to you. Muslims believe that Islam is not a new religion. It is merely the continuation (conclusion) of the message sent by God to humanity. One is not a Muslim unless he/she believes in the original messages sent to Abraham, Noah, David, Jesus, etc. as being true messages. So in that sense, Islam is not the "only way" since it is the same religion that God has been sending to humanity. However, Muslims also believe that the original messages as given to the aforementioned prophets was lost over time, changed, manipulated, or added to. I can give you proof of any of those from the Bible. To be a "Muslim" is to simply "surrender to God." Surrendering to God means accepting Him as the one and only God and submitting to his will. I love to discussion religion, proof, etc. and will respect any belief or opinion you may hold. Peace be Unto You, Norris
