Small correction here:
Since the common calendar has little significance to Hebrew/Jewish religious beliefs, the year 2000 has no special meaning, except perhaps to a few superstituous christians. And, if there is any real significance to 2000 years after Christ's birth, remember that:
Due to the fact that people were zero-challenged in the olde days,
the birth was considered year 1, and there were episodes when the calendar was running slow...in other words, the year 2000 isn't really the year 2000 (and this ain't an ad for Apple!) :-)
