Civility is the norm for most civilized minds, but it is not a prerequisite. By the same token, people who allow their views to be ascribed for fear of failure or derision will remain intellectual slaves or mature to stunted mental states. Knowing what one is talking about is completely different from the real world. For instance, 2 + 2 = 4 in the real world, but we can also prove it is not so in applied mathematics. I did point out in my earlier post that both Linux (my favorite) and NetWare are better than windows, but in the real world, people are not buying those. Check your local paper for the number of opening for Mcse and CNA, you will get the idea. CPQ being the biggest box maker while my investment grows at a miserable rate means absolutely nothing to me. If I wanted a meager returns on investments, I will buy savings bonds or CD.
Looking like a damn fool???... That's your opinion, but then again, this is a democracy. I do however have high respect for intellectual prowess and achievements.
A desperado with a death wish????. I have been both all my life and it has been good to me.
Take care and Good day.
