bobby: I am looking at ALL the indices - a countertrend parallelogram, and I believe we have the same BEAR COIL and tomorrows top will the the 5th leg top.

Draw me a picture! Day theoretical chart? Day actual chart? Intra day actual interval chart?

Or is this what I am calling (actual day chart) bear flags?

Regards,
LG

that it is. I should have seen it before today, but I guess
they have to make it obvious for me. It would be fairly
difficult for this to break out to the upside, as the thing
is quite steep to begin with and can go all the way to 1040
without being violated. On the other hand, the bottom keeps
moving up, so breaking out to the downside gets easier as time
goes by. I like it. A rally tomorrow will resolve the
oversoldness of the a lot of stocks, and then we're free to
go down, or so I judge.

bb,

Agreed, it does look bearish, but I'm picking stocks that are decent to me, I'm not trading the index. On any rally, these companies should turn up nicely. Everything is down, the good, the bad, and the ugly; including the one's that got sold off by mistake. Be discerning and selective. Being patient also helps.

bb,

Another note: This bear flag is too tight to be convincing. It looks more like a bottoming action. A strong close today, and next week we should see a sustained rally.
