Victor; RE:" Sew Waves "

>Looks like some interesting "waves." are these the so-called Elliot waves ?

...no, Victor - those are the Sew Waves (^_^)

I've already been taken to task for calling Don's calls "waves", as everybody thinks Elliott Waves. Whatever - I visualize them as waves.

>however, it seems that one can come up with the "waves" with just about any moving average... maybe some fourier analysis can give better "forecast" than the moving averages ?

...I tried that, Victor - IMHO, the "cycles" themselves are not time-based, but sentiment-based; ie., the spectrum (or autocorrelation) only remains valid for some indeterminate time, and then changes.

Easy enough to see them, however, and after a while, you (think) you can "feel" them. Donald's analyses tend to bolster my personal confidence as to what I see and feel. I also use the candlesticks, traditional TrendLines, and fibonacci.

>how do you come up with 216 and 78 ? [intra-day time candlesticks]

78 minutes is 1/5 of a 390 minute trading session, so each day becomes 5 candlesticks: 5x78m=DAY 5xDAY=WEEK.

216m is a "magic" number - go see the film, "pi" (^_^)
