0, ...the risk is eliminated. ...(if the price falls lower to the strike price).
I am ASSURED a price , in my case
38 3/4 , exactly. I do indeed get the stock.
I buy the stock at 38 3/4, exactly my predefined price.

in terms of dollars, the downside is still $38 3/4 exactly.
(I am sure you did not mean to say unlimited).

not to worry...there is a lot of very subtle things about
doing options, it takes years, to get the full flavor.
It is sort of like learning to ride a bicycle, or making love to
a woman. Some things, you just can not learn from textbooks.
