John, Well, you are in the biz and I am not, but I think it would be very possible to solve many software problems and alert the owner of hardware problems using the system I described. I know the other end dial up systems have been around for a long time. A friend of mine who owns a milling machine company was able to call his customer's machines back in the days of CP/M. If I ever run across the article again, I will post it to you. It may have been in one of the freebe magazines I get at work. Phil
