I only hope Intel's preannouncement was NOT intended to precede an imminent acquisition (ie, COMS) and thus dilute any negative effect resulting from thereof.

Barry, I sure hope you're right. Asia is tanking the futures big time. Of course, Europe will follow on the downside. The bears must love this "interconnectivity". Crash one market and all other markets follow.

The good news is that Intel is now indeed a "safe haven". Wish I could say the same for the rest of my portfolio (what's left of it).
