Hi billwot. Just came on to check the Globex. So far so good. Let's hope the internet will not be jammed tomorrow with Clinton files.

Yes, T.K. probably will try his best. Like I said: M.L. has lots of ground to cover to make up for big losses due to Russia. Buying stocks at lower prices would surely be welcomed. gg.

Intel was up 5 on instinet. CPQ was up also. I did not check Dell but read a nice article on Dell. M. Dell also sees a good 3Q and sees no problem for their growth despite Asian markets.

Like I mentioned a cpl of days ago, it may be time to buy more Intel. Too bad I didn't do it sooner rather than later. gg. I still have to buy back more Intel and CPQ.

Did you hear about that COMS rumor that Intel may buy them? Since I got it again in my IRA I sure hope it would go up this time instead of down if those rumors are true. I remember my USRX fiasco for a time. Hm, Intel was rumored to maybe buy USRX at that time. What do they say? Things move in mysterious ways? But I don't think I am a believer in this rumor at the moment. But COMS was up nicely in this market. I think it and Novl were the only 2 stocks in the green today for me.

Hm, those Banks are taking a beating. I am thinking of picking up some tomorrow.

Sonny

Hi Billwot, what you said, I suspect T. K. will counter with some pronouncement of doom and gloom for
INTC and/or the chip industry as a whole. No matter how one regards his
analytical performance, he still moves markets, and thus his opinions become
self-fulfilling prophecies, at lest in the short run. And he seems bent on hammering
INTC!

Fine, let him hammer away. If he's wrong a few times, and he has been, not just this time, he'll go the way of others that were golden for a while but tarnished badly later. Remember Whittington of Soundview and Vinik of Fidelity Magellan? They went the way I just described. Now, I hear that Whittington has no big job like before. Vinik, I hear, has done well with his own fund, but is well away from my 401K Fidelity Magellan. That's good.

I agree with Barry that 4Q98 will be a blowout for Intel. 3Q98 may also (well, we know it's at least much better than had been anticipated).
