Thorr, I have heard that the losses were bad, but not enough to put them out of business until Latin America kicks in. Seriously, these guys are leveraged up the wazoo and it never takes much to cream a debt abuser. However, I have always considered them moderately bright, so maybe they have some hedges.

The big problem is we have no idea what the risk is on a company by company basis. We know that trading volume in derivative scams is 2 pct. of world GDP, which is a lot. -g- But most of those are probably clean. How many will go sour is just an enigma.
