Yen is strengthening quite a bit. Now under 130 per $.

Gold looking good.

Beebs - if unsure of the gold options, buy 1/2 now and the other half on any retracement. If it continues to fly, at least you have the 1/2 position.

LT - seriously, Companies will be getting their asses sued regarding the MF choices they gave people. In some cases, people in profit sharing and other defined contribution plans have no say in the investments - the Company makes all decisions. yes, this is atypical, but it does exist.

Finally, major corporations with defined benefit pension plans will be taking some major hits on their pension expense due to (i) lower interest rates and (ii) crappy 1998 asset returns. Lower interest rates mean the pension liabilities will be much larger than previously measured (pension liabilities act like bonds).
