I doubt that mini drives will be a big factor to Innovex as for one they won't ship in volume for about 9 months and the use of GMR heads may indicate they would go to Hutch's TSA for interconnects. That could change if the pre-bonded flex circuit is adopted.

I think a more interesting announcement is that RDRT has qualified a 3.4G MR head with WDC. I think these would surely go to Innovex. In fact, these heads may be very successful with other manufacturers.

I also think all the current rumblings indicate that we may end the year with better PC sales than expected, and that much of the inventory in the channel has been worked off. That should bode well for INVX. I've seen Quantum and Seagate both recover nicely from their lows. Intel is also reporting better conditions than expected as I'm sure you all know.

Hutchinson reported earnings yesterday for the first 10 weeks of the quarter. A strange move. I think they wanted to tell the world that things are improving. Again a big loss expected, but they mentioned possible improvement in conventional suspension shipments.

I believe HTCH has lost a lot of conventional suspension business to low cost Asian producers. The fact that HTCH should be showing improved sales despite their higher cost is a good sign again that all conventional suspension suppliers are probably seeing improved sales. This is absolutely very good for Innovex.
