>>do we open lower today? my oct 40 and oct 35 puts say it better open lower quickly! my jan 50s are still looking ok (a lot better than amzn @ 140!)

I slept through all the nailbiting during the first half hour (good strategic move on my part, I see).

IMHO, the next few weeks will bring just more bad news for markets in general, good news for us. This will not be a "correction" as long as so many investors are eager to believe that is all it is: it will be a bear market until things look so bad that people cannot imagine the bull resuming in their lifetimes. I agree with Jay's post from yesterday about getting scared for the market, even though he's already short.

I respect James's "you don't know who you're messing with" cautionary position, though I don't see how the manipulators will be able to defy gravity here. I don't understand the renewed confidence of William's "Ding Dong, the Bear is Dead" posts, unless as OC speculated it was alchohol-induced. (Any changes, Wm? How's your head? :o{)

Of course, in Jan's absence Glenn has emerged as the nimble daytrader extraordinaire! Let's all turn to him for guidance! (Just kidding, Glenn -- I know you don't need the extra pressure!)
