buy stops

most of you know that I like to enter a position using a buy stop in order to hit one that is moving up

but, I don't like to put the orders in prior to the open so that I don't get trapped in a big gap up; usually wait till 9:45 or so to see the tape then enter the orders
also, if the are a lot of prospects I would not have enough buying power for all the possible orders and don't want to go in a lot of stocks at the same time

to avoid all the above I set alerts on my list so I am "called" when my target price is hit or near; then I can quickly look at that stock and decide if I want to enter an order
