Hi guys, great news this a.m. It'll probably tank the stock another 1/2 pt. <ggg> We have no idea the G&A expenses that DGIV is running up now, we don't know the start up costs assoc. with all the networks around the world. The only way possible to value DGIV IMO is to use revenues not earnings. 4 times revenues is a very fair value. Most of the telecomms. fall into this range, some lower most higher. You've heard me say time and again, $100 mil. next year gives us a $20 stock price using 4 times revenues. I won't argue over the method used to value DGIV, but we may not see earnings for the next several quarters. Maybe I'm wrong. But we should be looking for the increasing revenue stream and the earnings will come eventually.

Let's hope the stock gets rewarded for the good news today.

Mark

The planned venture will join Telecom Egypt and Digital Long Distance Corporation, a subsidiary of Digitcom, in a revenue sharing arrangement or the formation of a joint stock company.
''Telecom Egypt was attracted by IP telephony's ability to increase the capacity of existing infrastructure at a very low cost,'' explained Jimmy Chin, Digitcom CEO. Digitcom Selects Natural MicroSystems Platform for Pacific Rim IP-Phone Gateways
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Digitcom Corporation (OTC Bullet Board: DGIV) announced today that it has chosen Natural MicroSystems' Fusion(TM) platform for a five-country rollout of the Digitcom IP telephony Network. The company has scheduled installation of its ''IntraVoice'' voice-over-IP (VoIP) gateways in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Australia, with U.S. termination in Los Angeles. Testing of the leased-line VoIP network will occur from late August through September with commercial service slated to launch immediately thereafter.
''Our network requirements included easy scalability and support of international standard protocols. The Fusion platform meets these needs with a high performance product,'' observed Jimmy Chin, Digitcom CEO. ''The Digitcom Network is engineered to deliver a variety of very demanding IP and Intranet telecommunications services for our customers. We're convinced that Natural MicroSystems will be a valuable partner in the development of these advanced value-added technologies,'' Chin said.
The Digitcom Network will offer users high-quality voice- and fax-over-IP, and global voice messaging. Products planned include enterprise- level ''Intranet'' IP phone service, video conferencing and multimedia transmission for customers. Scheduled installations will make use of a dedicated 1.5Mbps T1 circuit, with the U.S. termination gateway housed on a Northern Telecom DSM-250 phone switch. Rigorous testing of all voice, switching, and administration systems will precede commercial launch of VoIP service to the public.
Natural MicroSystems' Fusion development platform allows for IP-phone gateways that can grow from 8 ports to multiple T1s/E1s with no increase in latency or decrease in performance. This means that from the smallest four simultaneous conversation configuration, Fusion's scalable architecture allows expansion to the highest port capacity gateway available today. Full use of a T1 connection will accommodate 192 simultaneous conversations. System expansion to handle thousands of calls is possible with this architecture. Fusion 2.0 supports the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) H.323 standard, providing interoperability with other standards-compliant IP telephony clients and gateways from other vendors. Digitcom engineers have been developing proprietary software for Natural MicroSystems' NT-based platform since late 1996.

good guesses risk, here are the more accurate numbers straight from the links i put out the other day:

the costs per minute as jimmy put out are very conservative, according to the links, the average cost is 1.50 to 2.00 minute us, but that is one directional, the other way in th bi directional is correct in the pr. with the numbers there, the profit margins are between 30 and 50 percent, so if you go conservative and use the 30 percent, the net profits are 25.65 MILLION PER YEAR, if you use the 50 percent, the net profits are roughly 40 MILLION PER YEAR.

what the pr doesnt say, probably due to egyptian request for privacy, is that there is other significant traffic to neighboring countries, this will be added value as well.

here is the kicker, SINCE EGYPT HAS BEEN SHUNNING ALL INTERNATIONAL TELCOS, dgiv gets exclusive contractual rights here. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT underestimate the importance of dgiv getting a contract in a country that has been shut off to the world, i cant stress enough how huge this is.

the next country i look for to be announced from that region is saudi arabia, that will be a natural neighbor and we know that jimmy or maha has been there several times now. if you are interested, and im sure you are, saudi arabia has 175 MILLION MINUTES A YEAR available for contracting, that is straight from the links, that will provide another 60-70 million a year in net profits.

dgiv is getting contracts in a lot of countries, but people, when they start getting them in countries that the big boys cant get in, ie egypt and ill bet you soon some of its neighbors, dgiv will be on the map in a big way in a hurry once the sb10 is out. you can bet that the analysts will know how big this pr is today.

if we crack that south american and latin american market, we are the proud owners of a major emrging telco. i go back to the yurie buyout by lucent, they had 100 mm a year in revs, i russia!!! they were bought for a billion cash and stock. what do you think that makes dgiv worth with all these countries and more coming?

dont worry about the sb10 it will be here, but dont get all hung up on the numbers in it, they dont include all the latest contracts which are going to be producing the next quarter, watch for the next quarter to be nice and the quarter after that to be huge and just get bigger from there.

have a dgiv kind of day,

macker
