Agree with your prediction on the duration of the "impeachment" process. Sooner rather than later... Oops - didn't mean to quote from one of Slick Willy"s now infamous passages.

Also agree with your with your assessment of the continued buying opportunity - with one proviso. I would lean toward buying beaten down bluechips -at least for the short term. You might need the liquidity to sell if the dreaded bear is here.

Speaking of Bears, Mr. Bowtie was supposed to be on CNBC this morning (8 AM). Here's another Bear that might tend to depress you (if you believe him):

MrGreenJeans,

>>>
In any event, I would be buying equities in here with both hands. Equity prices in here are very, very attractive and may not stay this way for very long. The equity market may stay depressed for a number of weeks and / or months but my / our average cost of purchase will look very good once all these political matters are dealt with. Tense your stomach and keep buying. This is how real wealth is created.

Excellent post. I am buying here and loving it. It doesnt matter if we are going down more from here either. I have a plan and I am working the plan. You are correct that wealth is created by buying when others are fearful.

Mr. Market can be so generous to the long term investor.

On another topic, it looks like the semi equipment companies may be turning in here-Amat, Klac, Nvls, Ter-on good news from Intc and a brighter outlook from National Semiconductor. Just goes to prove that although most of us do not know when things turn around if we buy high quality companies at attractive prices we come out ahead in the end.

I agree with all. I have been buying myself. Can't believe the valuations you can get some qualilty for. HWP is selling at at p/e from WAY back, semicaps......I got more Lam for $10 1/8 yesterday! When buying under book value, it seems you can absorb a yr or two of good losses and still pay less than book minus loss. FedEx....cheap! I sure get tired of all the bears telling me how stupid I am, but... you are right, major events like this correction are where fortunes are made. This could rival my gains from buying Intel, IBM and MSFT in 1993!

keep da faith, brudda!
