I saw this story about E coli being almost eliminated reported on CNN Headline News last night. It seems they believe this to be true from a study they are doing at Cornell University. Keep in mind that all it takes is a little E coli in a batch of meat when it is shipped to create a large potential problem. Naked Shorting? Every public stock has a limited number of shares in the float that can be shorted because of those holding shares long. When a short sale is made and a broker or market maker does not have shares available to cover this sale it is naked shorting.
