Chat GIC, HAIN: -
GIC - General Instrument earlier in the week announced 10mm share buyback, about 5.8% of float. THen yesterday, Forstman Little announced they were postponing their planned sale of remaining stake in GIC. GIC has guaranteed business for the next few years supplying most of the major cable companies with upgraded cable boxes.
HAIN - reported record earnings yesterday after market, was down yesterday several points, opened down today another 1.5 points. This is serious concern and i would suggest waiting to let HAIN settle before hoping on it. larry

BZL..

Sue:

I think that BZL is a good Contrarian play... It has fallen a long way, and culminated in a panic selloff of 15% yesterday... I think the G7 will come to the rescue... I'm buying...

PEP

has excellent support on the 20 year chart <BG>

no, but, it does have good support at 27.50 to 28 on the 2 yr chart.

I missed the quick bounce off of 28 at yesterday's close and again today in the early am ... am looking for that again ... as it falls now .... watch for the quick turn to the upside near the close around 3pm
buy target ... if it bails again ... 28.75 to 29.00

sue

Larry missed HAIN too ... tsk tsk :o(
