there is a piece of pie in the telco world and it is made up of minutes, the industry is scrambling to get these minutes, so the smaller more pallatable-nimble companies like dgiv will definitely attract big boy buying.

Good Morning RocketMan...

...and the rest of you DGIVAHOLICS!

Reading through the PR raised some questions (that had begun to form in my mind with the announcement of the Russian deal)...

1) The rates that were quoted... are those gonna hold after IP Telephony is introduced to the customer? It seems that a reduction in rates would be the reason the end user would want to switch.

2) Does the end user have a choice to use the DGIV service vs. the std type service already in place? Or other options such as callback services? If there are no price cuts, less desireable services like callback may have an opportunity to enter the market...

3) Do US callers to Egypt have a choice in the international long distance provider they use like we do with standard continental long distance?

I guess that's a start. I honestly don't know the answers to these questions and I guess I should. It seems to me that I don't really know what the numbers posted in the last 2 PR's really mean to DGIV's bottom line and it looks like it may be very difficult to tell.

With all that said, I have to say that there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is a HUGE deal. Getting into the middle east by itself is a very commendable accomplishment. The potential for expansion of service into other countries is amazing to a small company like DGIV, not to mention the potential for expansion of services. Why, I would expect that the FAX services alone would make this a very lucrative contract.

Lazarus, excited, but wanting to know more...
