AMSTERDAM, Netherlands--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 1998--Optibase today announced MPEG Movie Maker(TM) 200, its new high-quality, single-board MPEG - 2 encoder for Windows 95, 98 and NT. MPEG MovieMaker 200 is Optibase's new generation of single board MPEG -1 and MPEG - 2 video and audio encoders.
MPEG MovieMaker 200 is a single board solution that features real-time VBR, simultaneous decoding while encoding and Dolby Digital 2 channels. This latest board will serve as Optibase's high-end encoding platform, using the most advanced MPEG technology to create high-quality MPEG -1 and MPEG - 2 video. An ideal solution for content creation, post-production work and professional multimedia authoring, MPEG MovieMaker 200 is ideal for a variety of content creation, from Video CD to DVD authoring. In addition, upon passing the rigorous tests by Dolby Laboratories, MPEG MovieMaker 200 has been granted Dolby certification making Optibase the first company in the world to receive Dolby certification for an audio-video encoding board.
MPEG MovieMaker 200 uses advanced MPEG encoding technology to create pristine MPEG -1 and MPEG - 2 digital video. MPEG MovieMaker 200 provides Full D-1 AFF encoding as well as Half D-1, SIF and Q-SIF resolutions. With a compression range of 150 Kbps to 15 Mbps, MPEG MovieMaker 200 offers video professionals a single-board solution with the highest-quality MPEG -1 and MPEG - 2 video on the market.
