Basic questions on shorting to anyone:

Are shares sold short included in the daily volume we see reported?

If the short sale is covered later with shares converted from preferred stock, is the covering reported in the daily volume?

If the covering is rather large, say 100,000 shares, would the bid price normally increase, or would it decrease because these shares are adding to the number outstanding, that is, dilutive?

If we see a lot of volume without much price movement, can we make any inferences on conversions/covering?

Perhaps these questions are better posed to another board. If anyone has any suggestions I appreciate hearing about them.

Thank you,
Greg
