Midcom'98 to Focus on Growing
Telecom Market

AMMAN, (AROL) -- The fourth
Annual Middle East Communications
Congress (Midcom '98) will focus on the
growing telecommunications and ISP
market in the region.

Scheduled to open 19 April, the
three-day conference will bring together
telecom vendors, government officials,
project developers, investors from
around the world.

The foremost item on the agenda will
address the Middle East's infrastructure requirements, projected at more
than $30 billion during the next three years. Telecoms development,
private finance and operator strategies, public and private telecom
network infrastructure, information network technology, and cable TV
and satellite communications development will also be explored.

Key government officials and executives will meet to discuss the situation
in Sudan, Yemen, Qatar, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait,
Lebanon, Pakistan and Palestine.
