Polls still show that most of the country want Clinton to remain in office and for this "investigation" to end. This is a politically motivated fiasco, and has little to do with "protecting our children". Concerning the polls: They will change if Starr has something important to say. Furthermore, they will tank if the economy goes sour. Politically motivated: Everything could be argued this way. Almost all political organizations have different outlooks on moral issues. The only thing I can say is that we must be consistent. Just like how a teacher must punish all students regardless of whether he/she like the child...the country must punish the president...irregardless of whether he's popular or not. In the long run i think this is the best strategy.
