I was referring to the periods prior to the restrictions based on the proposed merger with TLAB. There seems to have been ample opportunity to unload stock by senior management at that time and there apparently was not many takers. Ciena at that time was enjoying a high P/E multiple and any financial consultant would have advised management to diversify. Ciena management had access to such advice and apparently voted to keep their stakes for future gains. This implies a lot of confidence in market position and product value.
