Merg--You seem to have some interesting ideas about shorting.
Shorts do not gang up on good companies to drive them into the ground. We also do not blindly jump in because Bill says to short something no matter what label he puts on the company. I research all of my plays. I look at what Bill suggests because I know he does his homework too.
Simple logic would tell you shorts would get killed shorting quality companies. They do things like show increased earnings, declare dividends, grow, attract investors. There are plenty of market sharp people who would jump in long on a company artificially pushed down by idiot shorts.
As for AHM he sounds like a kid in grade school holding up his hand every two minutes saying "Billy is talking in class, teacher." "Jimmy is reading a comic book." and on and on.
I think a couple of Bills picks are frauds too. When they shut down or the SEC shuts them down and the share holder law suits begin are you going to be paying lawyer fees?
All the Best

This thread is about 'profits of doom' obtained largely from the indiscriminate and erroneous use of legal terms like 'fraud'

So in other words you believe that Bill Wexler, through not merely through his posts alone but simply his choice of phraseology in his posts, is the primary cause of the collapse of so many stocks this year? That had Wexler only said "I think" more often, that TAVA would still be at $10?

So noted.

Chiming in here where I'm not needed, but I have to say I agree somewhat with AHM.

There are real people in these companies whose reputations are sullied by accusations of fraud. It is a serious matter to loudly, widely and publicly accuse someone of illegal acts. Put yourself in their shoes (assuming they are honest for a moment).

In the absence of hard evidence I wish Bill would tone down the rhetoric a bit, but this is my first and last post on the subject.

I owe too much to Bill to be very critical. Thanks, Bill, keep up the good work.

Best to all.
