Paul, re incompetent competition.

Reminds me of a saying [I think it was Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett's Co-Chair] that goes something like... even the best business in the world is only as good as your dumbest competitor allows it to be. He was, of course, referring to the kind of competitor that makes uneconomic investment or pricing decisions, among others. Fortunately, well-run businesses that are well-capitalized can usually outlast a dumb, poorly-capitalized rival. Hmmm.. sounds familiar.
