<<Long-term, things look really good to me>>

Although THQI has given a nice return to anyone who has simply held for the past three years, a case could be made that this stock (much as I like it) should not be thought of as buy-and-hold material, unless by long-term you mean eighteen months.

Because of the passing nature of the products they sell, THQI will always have to prove itself, every quarter. Personally I think the outlook for THQI is outstanding all the way to the end of February; after that, I suspect they'll do fine, but I base that suspicion mostly on the quality of Farrell and his past performance. The 1999 line-up looks good so far but in this business we can't depend on that at this time.

BTW, anyone else think Devil Dice is going to be a big, big seller? I think it will be huge.

<<I don't know about that but your timing has been pretty good on THQI as opposed to RADAF.>>

I wasn't that bad with RADAF. If you recall, Sigmund, you asked which would outperform over a six-day period and I chose Radica. I was right for that brief period and sold at 14 3/4 and 14 5/8 for a so-so profit when RADAF declared earnings. Granted, I expected better, but I knew when to take the chips from the table and move them to THQI, which has been really lucky for me so far.
OT: Now check out this timing, merely for exercise purposes. I actually believe (enough to make my wife roll her eyes) that a penny stock (GBIT) I've lately been buying gobs of from 21/32 through 7/8 will be selling from 1 1/2 to 2 or better when they declare strong earnings (end of Oct. or beginning of Nov.) and their PR outfit begins beating the drums. (Caution: Although I've done okay with the few pennies I've played over the past several years, I don't have enough at bats for a high average to mean much.)
