Eddie: Anyone know why CPQ is down?

More shares being sold than being bought!

Seriously, there are at least four areas of fundamental concern (i) whether the DEC merger is proceeding smoothly and in such manner to preserve or increase the DEC contribution to earnings, despite the cut-back on some DEC products: (ii) whether margins are maintained or increased as revenues increase: (iii) whether sales of high and low end products will maintain high rates of growth through the next 6-9 months if there is an incremental, or even severe, economic slowdown, or if corporations are inhibited from making purchasing decisions by YK2000 considerations: (iv) whether Dell and other competitors are taking market share systematically.

The INTC news was very important, but more CPQ specific news is needed to open the floodgates.

Eddie...I do not believe CPQ is
down from close yesterday.

Some sources show it closed under 31.

Discrepency as to where it closed from different info sources.

Anyone know why CPQ is down? I would think CPQ would be up given Intel's news...

It all depends on your point of reference. My realtime quote service, CIBC Oppenhiemer, shows CPQ at 31 11/16 +1 1/8. They don't consider after hours trading as yesterday's numbers. INTC is probably down too based on after hours cause it's now trading at 84 and I heard on CNBC this morning that it had been trading as high as 85 after hours yesterday.
