There are plenty of PCI sound cards now out in the market. You just have to shop around to find them. I have seen Yamaha and Ensoniq based cards for a few months now. Depending on the quality you need, you can expect to see them for anywhere from $50-200 retail. Check the major chains, and you should be able to find something you like.

Good luck

>>I'd like to have a sound card in the box. What options, if any, might I have?<<

One option you have is to get a Data/FaxVoice modem you can plug into your PCI connector. The latest Tiger Direct catalog advertises one from WiseCom for $50.00. I don't have any experience with WiseCom and am just using their hardware as an example. Another option is get a Data/Fax modem you can connect to your universal serial bus, USB. See usb.org for a list of vendors, two, who make USB modems. They are still pricey though. I think I saw the 3Com USB modem advertised for approximately $250.
