Repentant Slick Attacks Shalala

The Washington Post quoted sources as saying that Clinton and Health and Human Services Secretary Donna Shalala had a sharp exchange of words at the session.
"She said something like, `I don't care about the lying, but I'm appalled at the behavior,' and frankly he [Clinton] whacked her, let her have it," the newspaper quoted a source as saying. The president said that using that logic, Richard Nixon would have been elected president in 1960 instead of John Kennedy, the source said.
Shalala did not appear at the post meeting press briefing and did not return calls seeking comment.
