<< 3) it's offering proprietary app-level services that really only work with IE and Windows, like ActiveX, JScript, MSJava, etc.>> Yea, don't forget that e-mail is a major workhorse app. Those who like MS Outlook because of the e-mail and groupware features (shared calendars, contact, to-do lists, etc) are forced to have IE 4.0 installed or the applications will not function. The Mac version of Outlook is the exception, but it is not as robust because of this. In companies that want Outlook where Netscape is the standard browser, IE 4.0 has to be installed as well and is usually defaulted to run after logon. -Bill_H
