It is only acceptable as long as it never happens again. A person can be forgiven for having a transgression without it corrupting the entire country. He is not my moral leader. I am my moral leader.

It is not alright that he lied, but if he were not the president would he be prosecuted for these actions? Let's say he was a garbage collector, accused by a woman of sexual harrasment, who then lied about previous sexual encounters during the trial. Especially in light of the fact that the Paula Jones case was thrown out as having no merit. Are you ready to spend time money to put that garbage man in jail? I don't think so.

I think we should say, "Ok you say you're sorry, now prove it with your actions." And proceed with a healthy dose of skepticism and get on with life.
