OT (sort of)

No matter what you think of Newt Gingrich, he is a very good strategist. He will let the report stay out there and let people form their own opinions, I believe he has told his caucus (as I would if I was him) to keep the noise down, because, Jerry, you are right, it will backfire on them if they make a big deal.

I am so flipping tired of this crap taking over our country, when there are many problems and challenges that need facing.

Nobody ever seems to talk about the fact that it is the special interests that run this country, and not the people who are supposed to through their voting franchise. The PACs throw so much damn money into the picture it is ridiculous.

Off my soapbox.

By the way Jerry, thanks for the heads up on KLIC, what is your target ?

David

e-mail: VTS.. 'comfortable with analysts estimates'..

Posters, if you will recall, I missed CXIPY's earnings report for various reasons. I had it posted as an earnings play in the newsletter. It cost me about 20% potentential gain in 2 days. There are just a few oil service stocks that actually enjoy a pop on earnings report. They are: FGII, CXIPY, CDG, SCSWF, BWG and sometimes TDW.

As a matter of policy VTS does not comment on forecasts of future
performance and has no comment concerning earnings expectations for fiscal 1999. Nevertheless, the Company reaffirms that it is entirely comfortable with analysts' consensus earnings estimates for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year ending July 31, 1998, which are $0.51 and $2.91, respectively.
