stockdoctor, not to quibble, but long term thinking cost me the gains I once had on several stocks. I'm still struggling to come up with a better exit strategy. Stocks like AMAT are simply cyclical and I hope to treat it that way. A great example of a stock which made me money, but is not for 2 1/2 - 5 years is RDRT. In the years since 1991 you could have tripled your money three times (each time in 1 -2 years), but if you had held for the 7 years you'd have you would have a loss now. But you know all that. :) Regards Gottfried
