re: Clinton's future and the markets. There is not enough in the report for wholesale defections of democrats, namely 0 on whitewater. travelgate, filegate (which would have come closest to Nixonian event) and the report itself does overreach a bit reading much more like a vigorous advocacy brief for impeachment then an informational report showing possible impeachable offenses. This leaves plenty of room for partisan argument that he's just a bad boy or an evil multiple felon. A democratic Congress would do nothing or censure, the Republican Congress will either censure or imppeach. Censure would be very positive for the markets as would be meaningless and mark an end to this, impeachment will be a drag on the market. And of course after this the naming of a campaign finance abuse independent counselor for Clinton and/or Gore will be somewhat of a negative especially now that the world sees what an independent counselor can do. A national political pathetic event will be now people running for president will be not only asked about drug use but about whether they ever had an extramarital affair Marc
